On 15 January, thousands of learners across the country returned to school, but all eyes were on the first-time learners, who stepped into their classrooms with a mix of excitement and nerves.
Thanks to Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, many of these young learners were already accustomed to a school environment, making the transition smoother. Gone are the days of tearful goodbyes – now, children confidently walk into their new learning spaces with smiles.
At Masibambane College, the scene was filled with emotions as parents accompanied their little ones. While some parents looked anxious, the children quickly embraced their first day, supported by welcoming teachers who went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable.
For these young learners, it was the start of a beautiful journey, with many more milestones to come.
