What started as a childhood dream has turned into a remarkable achievement for Orange Farm’s Mpho Mamolete Fokane, who has earned several prestigious titles at the Miss Elegant Gauteng 2026 pageant.
Fokane has made her community proud after being crowned Miss Elegant Gauteng 2026 Second Princess, while also walking away with the Beauty with a Purpose Award, Entrepreneur Award and First Runner-Up position in the Public Choice Votes category.
Her achievement marks an important milestone in a journey filled with determination, personal growth and unwavering support from her community.
Reflecting on her success, the newly crowned princess described the experience as a dream come true, admitting that she never imagined receiving such recognition when she was younger.
“As a little girl, I never imagined that one day I would find myself standing on such a platform, receiving recognition for something I am so passionate about,” Fokane said.
For Fokane, the competition represented much more than glamorous appearances, crowns and titles. It became an opportunity to discover her strengths, build confidence and overcome challenges.
“This journey has been more than just crowns and titles; it has been about discovering myself, growing in confidence, embracing challenges, and realising that even the dreams that seem far away can become reality,” she explained.
She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family, coach, supporters and the Orange Farm community for standing by her throughout the competition.
She acknowledged that every vote, prayer, encouraging message and gesture of support contributed to her success.
Beyond celebrating her achievements, Fokane believes her titles come with a responsibility to make a positive difference in society.
“I carry these titles with pride, humility, and a greater sense of responsibility because, to me, a crown is not just something worn on the head, but a symbol of purpose, service, and inspiration,” she said.
Looking ahead, she hopes to use her platform to empower and inspire young girls, particularly those from communities like Orange Farm, to pursue their ambitions regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances.
