The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed its grant payment schedule for March 2026, urging beneficiaries to take note of the dates and remain alert to official communication regarding their grants.
According to SASSA, payments will be processed as follows:
– Older Person’s Grant: Tuesday, 4 March 2026
– Disability Grant: Wednesday, 5 March 2026
– Children’s Grant: Thursday, 6 March 2026
The agency also confirmed that the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant will be paid throughout the month of March, with payments processed in batches.
SASSA has cautioned beneficiaries not to ignore official review notifications sent via SMS. The agency emphasised that these messages are important and may require recipients to submit updated information or documentation to ensure continued eligibility. Failure to respond to review requests could result in delays or suspension of payments.
The agency reiterated that there is no need to rush to withdraw funds on the first day of payment, as the money will remain safely available in accounts until needed.
