The Nelson Mandela Day Soccer Games produced exciting youth football as Kweneng FC and Doritos FC shared the honours in two entertaining fixtures.
Kweneng FC’s U13 side secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Doritos FC in a tightly contested match, with a disciplined display earning them the win.
The U15 encounter was equally exciting, with Doritos FC edging Kweneng FC 4-3 in a thrilling seven-goal contest after both teams produced an attacking performance.
Despite the mixed results, Kweneng FC head coach Philani praised the effort shown by his players across both matches.
“I’m proud of the commitment and character our players displayed. Winning and losing are both part of football, but what matters most is that these youngsters continue to learn, grow and enjoy the game. Every match helps us build for the future,” said Philani.
