Intouch Youth Development and Community Justice brought 30 participants together Ext 1 on 26 August for a Women’s Dialogue focused on empowerment, women’s rights and shared experiences.
Held as part of Women’s Month, the dialogue created a platform for participants to speak openly about their experiences, challenges and aspirations while learning from one another.
Three panelists led the discussions, encouraging conversations around women’s rights, personal development and the importance of women supporting one another within their communities.
Intouch founder Kapaso said creating spaces where women can freely share their experiences is an important part of building stronger communities.
“This dialogue was about creating a space where women could speak openly, learn from one another and realise the power they have to bring change within their communities,” Kapaso said.
The programme also recognised those who contributed to the event, with Certificates of Appreciation presented alongside copies of The NPO World, a book written by Kapaso.
Kapaso said the organisation views the dialogue as a milestone rather than a once-off Women’s Month activity.
“We are proud of what we are building together. Our journey does not end with this dialogue — we want to continue empowering, inspiring and enabling women to become agents of change,” Kapaso said.
Intouch thanked the panelists and participants for contributing to the programme and said it would continue creating platforms aimed at empowering women and strengthening community participation.
