What started as a shared love for music among friends in Orange Farm has grown into a movement known as Vibe City Gang.
The hip-hop collective, operating under Spoils Production, has been crafting music since 2022, using their experiences of township life to create songs that resonate with listeners. Consisting of Earl Tjay, Lil Rhyme, King Zee, Queen Nah, Rhyder, Daisy B, Central B, Scaler, Naizer, Lordy G and Melanin, the group meets three times a week to write, collaborate and shape their sound.
Their latest project, Soft Hurting World, released on 20 March 2026, dives into the emotional realities of love, heartbreak and loss. Through the album, the artists hope to comfort and inspire people going through difficult relationships.
Drawing inspiration from both local experiences and international hip-hop, Vibe City Gang blends heavy beats with a distinctive style that sets them apart. For the group, music is more than entertainment – it’s brotherhood, purpose and a voice for their community.
“We are more than just a music group, we are hood brothers,” said member Lukhanya Mbedzi.
