Everyday township life is becoming the inspiration behind Lindokuhle Funani’s growing journey in comedy and digital storytelling.
The Ext 7b creator is behind Skits By Lindow, a YouTube channel where he produces comedy skits drawn from familiar situations, humour and experiences around him.
Funani is now expanding beyond short skits with two upcoming series, The Last Day and Imfundo yase Kasi, which he is developing alongside a small creative team he describes as his brothers and sisters.
“I’m working on shooting The Last Day and Imfundo yase Kasi alongside my brothers and sisters,” he said.
The move into longer-form productions gives Funani a chance to explore more detailed stories while continuing to keep his work rooted in local life.
Instead of waiting for traditional television or film opportunities, he is using YouTube as a space to create, experiment and reach audiences directly.
His work reflects a growing wave of young creatives using digital platforms to tell stories from their own communities in their own voice.
