Local schools and early childhood development centres are receiving a visibility boost after Barko Loans donated and installed branded signage at several organisations in Orange Farm.
The initiative has benefited Duzenendlela Special School, Junior Stars Day and Night Care and Masizame Day Care Centre, with new signage aimed at making the organisations easier for parents, visitors and community members to identify and locate.
According to Barko Loans, the project forms part of its broader commitment to supporting community development, education and entrepreneurship.
A Barko Loans spokesperson said improving the visibility of community-based organisations could help them reach more people and strengthen their presence in the areas they serve.
“We believe lasting change begins by empowering the organisations that serve our communities every day. Providing schools and small businesses with professional signage is one way we can help them build trust, attract support and strengthen the communities they serve,” the spokesperson said.
Clear and professional signage can play an important role for organisations operating within communities, helping residents identify services while giving institutions and businesses a more visible presence.
Barko Loans said it hopes to extend similar assistance to more schools, crèches and small businesses in Orange Farm and other communities as part of its ongoing community support initiatives.
