At just 18 years old, Sibusiso Baloyi, popularly known as Mrr Tjaro DE MCEE, is making his mark in the entertainment industry, using his voice to entertain, inspire and motivate young people in his community.
Hailing from Drieziek 1 in Orange Farm, the aspiring Master of Ceremonies (MC), presenter and motivational speaker is determined to build a successful career while putting his hometown on the map.
Baloyi’s passion for public speaking and entertainment began at a young age, inspired by his love for making people happy and witnessing how a skilled MC could bring energy and excitement to an event.
“I have always loved talking and making people happy since I was young. I was inspired by how a good MC can bring life to an event,” he said.
His journey behind the microphone began two years ago when he started hosting small community gatherings and daytime events. What initially started as an interest quickly developed into a passion.
His stage name, MRR TJARO DE MCEE, reflects the values he hopes to represent throughout his career.
According to Baloyi, MRR stands for respect, while MCEE represents Master of Ceremonies.
“The name means a respectful Master of Ceremony who controls the mic and the crowd,” he explained.
Growing up in Drieziek 1 has played a significant role in shaping his character and approach to entertainment.
He believes his upbringing has taught him humility, determination and the importance of connecting with people from different backgrounds.
“Growing up in Drieziek 1 taught me humility, hustle and how to connect with kasi people. I understand our culture, our languages and our vibe,” he said.
Despite his young age, Baloyi has gained experience hosting weddings, lobola celebrations, birthday parties, stokvel gatherings, school tours, community events and year-end functions across Orange Farm and Gauteng.
He describes himself as energetic, professional and respectful, with a commitment to ensuring that every event runs smoothly.
“I don’t just talk. I engage everyone, keep the programme flowing, manage time and make sure the event is fun and classy,” he said.
However, his journey has not been without challenges.
Baloyi admitted that gaining recognition and securing opportunities as a young entertainer can be difficult, particularly when competing against more established MCs.
“As an 18-year-old upcoming MC from the kasi, the biggest challenge is getting opportunities and being trusted with big events. Sometimes clients have no budget for upcoming artists, but I keep pushing,” he said.

Beyond entertainment, Baloyi is equally passionate about motivating young people to make positive decisions.
Through school tours and motivational speaking engagements, he encourages learners to prioritise education, avoid drugs, crime and negative peer pressure, and remain focused on achieving their goals.
He considers these engagements among his proudest achievements because they allow him to make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.
“Motivating learners shows me that my voice can change lives, not just entertain,” he said.
His message to young people growing up in disadvantaged communities is simple but powerful.
“Your location must not limit your destination.”
Looking ahead, Baloyi hopes to become one of South Africa’s leading MCs while creating more opportunities for himself and inspiring other aspiring entertainers from Orange Farm.
“My goal is to become one of the biggest MCs in South Africa and to put Orange Farm, Drieziek 1, on the map,” he said.
He is currently accepting bookings for December holiday events, weddings, school tours and other functions in 2026 as he continues working towards expanding his brand.
Baloyi has encouraged the community to support emerging local talent by providing opportunities, sharing promotional material and recommending young entertainers for events.
For the ambitious 18-year-old, every opportunity behind the microphone represents another step towards fulfilling his dream of becoming a household name in the South African entertainment industry.
