Before “Stimela” reached listeners, it was Khobelihle Molefe’s way of working through her own pain. Now the Orange Farm vocalist is preparing to share more of her story through an upcoming EP.
The Afro-soul artist from Extension 3 describes her sound as emotional, soulful and healing. Her breakout song, written in May, brings those qualities together in a message she says has touched more than 50,000 people.
“Writing ‘Stimela’ gave me a way to express pain I was carrying. It helped me heal and learn to forgive without pretending that nothing had happened. Knowing that other people connected with its message made something deeply personal feel shared. That is the kind of music I want to make — honest songs that speak to the heart,” said Molefe.
For the singer, forgiveness does not mean forgetting. She credits the song with helping her move forward and shaping the woman she is today.
That personal connection is central to how Molefe describes her work: turning difficult emotions into music that others can find themselves in.
Her next step is an EP featuring “Stimela” alongside new songs. A release date has not yet been shared, but she has already given supporters something to look forward to, announcing: “New music loading.”
As she prepares for that next chapter, Molefe has also thanked the listeners supporting her journey.
