Fresh from their Orange Farm Local Football Association (OFLFA) Super League title triumph, Junior Stars FC were held to a goalless draw by Young Tigers FC in an entertaining friendly match.
The match provided both sides with an opportunity to test combinations, assess players and maintain match fitness ahead of upcoming competitions. Despite creating several scoring opportunities, neither team was able to find the breakthrough, with both defences standing firm throughout the 90 minutes.
Junior Stars showed the confidence and composure that helped them clinch the league title, controlling large spells of possession, while Young Tigers matched their opponents with disciplined defending and dangerous counter-attacks.
Although the match ended 0-0, the friendly offered valuable preparation for both teams as they continue building towards their respective campaigns.
Junior Stars will now shift their focus to the Hollywoodbets Regional League, while Young Tigers will take plenty of positives from a solid performance against the newly crowned OFLFA champions.
