Orange Farm is about to feel the rhythm once again as the Bula Sekele Street Dance Battle returns on 31 May for its second annual edition – and this year promises to be even more exciting!
In proud partnership with the Orange Farm Children’s Home in Ext 1, this vibrant event is not just about dance – it’s about uplifting the community, empowering young talent and giving local youth a stage to shine.
Organiser Sanele Radebe, told Orange Farm News: “We’re using dance to spark change and bring hope to our township. This battle is more than just moves – it’s movement. With the backing of major supporters like KFC and Legends, this year’s winner won’t just walk away with bragging rights, but also a R500 KFC voucher and a live interview on Thetha FM a real launchpad for future stars. The event’s mission is clear: create a space where young people can express themselves, build confidence and inspire others through creativity.”
“From fierce footwork to powerful performances, the battle will be a celebration of Orange Farm’s rich culture and unstoppable youth spirit. And it’s not just about the dance crews-favourite radio presenters, special guests and local entertainers will light up the day with unforgettable moments. Let’s raise the bar, lift our youth and build a brighter future one beat at a time,”Sanele added.
Mark your calendars and bring your energy! Join the community for a day of music, dance, unity and purpose.
