This past weekend saw an exciting series of youth football matches at Solwazi Ground in Drieziek 5, where local teams battled for dominance in several age categories.
In the first game, Positive Living People FC took on Stretford Young Tigers FC in what turned out to be a fiercely competitive series. The U11 teams held each other to a goalless draw (0-0), with neither side able to break through their opponent’s defence.
Positive Living People FC came out strong in the U13 match, claiming a solid 3-1 victory. However, the tables turned in the U15 category as Stretford Young Tigers FC dominated with a 2-0 win. The U17 game saw Positive Living People FC regain control, sealing a 3-1 victory.
The second match of the day featured Vision 2025 FC and Mighty Paradise FC. In a closely contested U13 game, Vision 2025 FC managed to edge out their opponents with a narrow 1-0 win. The U17 teams, however, couldn’t be separated, resulting in a hard-fought 0-0 draw.
These thrilling matches reflected the growing talent in the local football scene, with young players giving it their all on the field. The future of football in Drieziek looks bright, as these clubs continue to nurture the next generation of champions.
