Ibandla Green Roots is making a positive impact in communities through its focus on sustainable agriculture, environmental management and skills development.
Established as a community-driven cooperative, the organisation was created to address challenges such as food insecurity, unemployment and environmental degradation while creating opportunities for local residents to participate in meaningful green projects.
The organisation offers a range of services, including seeding production and plant propagation, vegetable and herb nursery development, tree planting, lawn maintenance, garden clean-ups, tree pruning, paving and outdoor beautification projects.
According to director Mr Phuphuma Lesego Eugene, the organisation’s goal extends beyond environmental work.
“We are committed to creating opportunities for people while improving the environment. Through agriculture and community projects, we want to empower residents with skills that can help them build a better future for themselves and their families,” said Eugene.
