Drieziek 3’s artist Jabulane Mthimunye, known as Yung Berry (Sweedi eLiMnandi), will release his new project, “D.I.A” EP (Dreamers In Africa), on 30 May.
The Amapiano-focused EP reflects his personal journey, shaped by challenges faced in silence. Through the project, Yung Berry aims to connect with listeners by sharing his story through music.
“This project is my truth,” said Yung Berry. “I went through a lot in silence, and this EP is me finally opening up and letting people feel what I’ve been through.”
He began his music career in 2014 and has since developed a versatile sound across multiple genres, recently centering on Amapiano.
Yung Berry has performed at several venues, including KopanoMix Lounge, Eleven 45, and JVC in Soweto.
