Two Touch FC and VYD win Vusudakie tournament

Vusudakie Youth Development (VYD) hosted a sizzling soccer tournament at Vulanindlela Secondary School, Ext 2, from 9 to 17 August, bringing kasi football flair, skills and talent to life as teams battled for championship glory.

The exciting Top 8 tournament featured both U13 and U17 divisions, with the aim of mobilizing the youth of Orange Farm away from the growing challenges of drugs and gangsterism.

Organizers from VYD said the tournament was not just about trophies, but about building discipline, unity and hope through sport.

“We want to give young people a positive platform where they can showcase talent and stay away from destructive influences,” they emphasized.

In the U13 final, VYD clinched victory with a 2–1 win over FC Ada TAKA, walking away with R800, a trophy and gold medals. The runners-up received R400 and silver medals.

The U17 final was a nail-biter as Two Touch FC edged Money Heist FC in penalties 5 – 4, securing R1 500, a trophy and gold medals, while the runners-up took home R500 and silver medals.

The tournament was a vibrant display of community spirit and rising soccer stars, leaving fans eager for the next edition.
