Collen turns passion into progress, empowering and inspiring Orange Farm!

From fashion to football and scrap recycling, this homegrown entrepreneur is making a real impact! Growing up in Ext 4, Collen Mdiniso always dreamed of creating something meaningful for his community. Today, through his clothing brand (EGM), community events and scrap business, he’s turning that vision into reality.

Collen launched EGM Clothing with a simple mission: to offer stylish yet affordable apparel. But EGM is more than just a brand-it’s a symbol of hope and inspiration for young people in Orange Farm.

Collen told Orange Farm News: “Through EGM, I want to show the youth that hard work and determination can turn dreams into reality.”

Beyond fashion, Collen is passionate about bringing people together. His soccer tournaments and community events have become a highlight in Orange Farm, giving young talents a platform to shine.

“These events are about more than just football; they foster unity, pride, and growth in our community,” he explains.

Collen’s scrap business is another venture close to his heart. Not only does it help clean up the environment, but it also creates much-needed employment opportunities for locals.

“We’re proving that small businesses can drive real change in our communities,” he says.

Collen acknowledges the challenges of entrepreneurship but remains driven by his desire to create a better future for his child. He also expresses gratitude to his partner, Zamokuhle Sibiya, for standing by him through this journey.

“Success is never easy, but having a strong support system makes all the difference,” Collen shared.

With big dreams still ahead, Collen hopes his journey inspires others to chase their passions and uplift their communities. “Together, we can achieve great things,” he added.
