Two bodies discovered at Matiki dumping site
Police are investigating a double murder after two bodies were discovered at the Matiki dumping site near Mokokotlong informal settlement on Monday, 25 November.
The bodies, identified as two unknown African males, were found lying in an open field. The first male, estimated to be around 20 – years – old, was wearing brown trousers, a black T-shirt, a red, black and white track top.
The second victim, believed to be around 24 – years -old, was dressed in navy blue Adidas track pants, a black, white striped T-shirt and a brown jacket.
Both bodies showed signs of assault, with the second victim also sustaining a gunshot wound. The motive for the killings remains unclear and no arrests have been made.
Orange Farms SAPS communication officer, Sergeant Motsapi urged anyone with information to come forward.
“We appeal to members of the public who might have any information that could assist in our investigation to contact the nearest police station. You can also provide anonymous tips via the MySAPS app,” said Sgt Motsapi.

Investigation efforts continue as authorities work to identify the victims.
