Arteey set to share his journey with fans in upcoming EP ‘Unonkala’

Athenkosi Ntityiwa, known to fans as Arteey, is a poet and musical artist from Driziek 5, whose journey into the world of art began at the tender age of 15.

With an early passion for poetry, Arteey soon discovered a love for music, merging his lyrical talents with powerful soundscapes. His unique style and captivating messages have led him to perform on platforms such as SABC’s Daily Thetha and Massive Metro, capturing audiences with his heartfelt delivery and relatable themes.

Arteey is currently working on his latest EP titled Unonkala, which means “a crab fighting waves for survival.” This metaphor of resilience and struggle reflects Arteey’s personal journey, as well as the stories he hopes to share with listeners.

“I want people to know me through this sound because it makes it easier for me to share my heart, soul and spirit with those who need to hear my message,” he shared.

The new EP showcases Arteey’s evolution as an artist under the guidance of Umcinga Agency, a platform that has helped him refine his sound and find his unique voice.
