V-Tach Training Academy’s generosity Run and Tournament unites community for a worthy cause
On 19 October, V-Tach Training Academy proudly hosted its second annual Generosity Run and Tournament, an event that brought together the community to promote health and support local children in need.
The festivities kicked off with ladies’ teams competing in various sports, while the U17 boys took the spotlight on Sunday. Plans are underway for upcoming tournaments featuring senior men’s soccer and senior women’s netball teams.
The day began with the inaugural V-Tach Generosity Run, which started at 08:00 and proved to be a tremendous success.
“Weeks of hard work paid off as we managed to raise 100 pairs of school shoes, sanitary pads, and toothbrushes from our generous sponsors,” said Kenny Modise from V-Tach Training Academy.
The event would not have been possible without the support of various sponsors, including: Timeline Radio; Bodylab; Molope-Madondo Attorneys; Abby Health; Al Imaam Wa Dawah International Foundation; Rainbow Pressure Solution; Seasoned Agency; MTN Momo; Love Life; Future Life; Zoom Fibre; FNB; Old Mutual; Medu Capital; TTR Infrastructure Developers” EXT8a Orange Farm Community; Thato Ke Matla; Radical Change Foundation.
“The reason we hosted this run was to gather school supplies for children from disadvantaged backgrounds in various primary schools in Orange Farm. We also aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle through this event,” Modise added.
The Generosity Run and Tournament not only fostered a spirit of camaraderie among participants but also demonstrated the profound impact that community support can have on the lives of local children. With events like these, V-Tach Training Academy continues to inspire positive change and encourage a culture of giving within the community.
