Relentless Mshengu X1 chases victory in Men’s Regional League with eyes on ABC Motsepe promotion
The Men’s Regional League kicked off last week and Mshengu X1 has hit the ground running, securing three consecutive wins to claim the 2nd spot with 9 points.
Their impressive streak has set high expectations as they prepare to face their next challenge: a home game against Bellevue. This crucial match will take place on Saturday, 2 November, at 3 pm at Jabulile Secondary School.
Competing in the Men’s Regional League Orange Stream since 2020, Mshengu X1 is determined to make this season count. Winning the league is more than a goal-it’s a pathway to greater opportunities. A league victory would secure Mshengu X1 a place in the Promotion Playoff for the prestigious ABC Motsepe League, a big step up in South African football.
Representing the Johannesburg South region, the Orange Stream champions advance to face other regional victors across Gauteng. Only two team earns the chance to join the ABC Motsepe League and Mshengu X1 is focused on ensuring that one spot is theirs.
