Premier Panyaza Lesufi to oversee transformer switch-on in Drieziek

In a significant move toward improving electricity supply in Orange Farm, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi is set to oversee the switch-on of transformers in Drieziek 4 and Stretford 6 as part of Operation Khanyisa Gauteng on Monday, 30 September at 2pm, marking a major milestone in addressing the power needs of the local community.

Operation Khanyisa, aimed at enhancing electricity access and infrastructure in Gauteng, focuses on reducing power outages and ensuring reliable energy supply to underserved areas. The introduction of new transformers in Drieziek 4 (Ward 4) and Stretford 6 (Ward 1) is a step forward in realizing the provincial government’s vision of lighting up communities for growth and development.

Partnering with Eskom and City Power, the Gauteng Provincial Government is dedicated to achieving sustainable electricity distribution across the province. This initiative is also part of the broader GGT 2030 plan, which aims to drive economic development and improve the quality of life for residents through infrastructure advancements.
