SAPS equips Rekgutlile Primary learners with knowledge to tackle bullying and know their rights

On Monday, 9 September, Rekgutlile Primary School welcomed an important visit from local law enforcement. The learners were educated on the dangers of bullying and briefed on the Child Justice Act, with a special emphasis on protecting children’s rights.

Sergeant Siyabangena Bavuma, the school’s Adopt-a-Cop, along with Communication Officer Sergeant Shaan Motsapi and Station Commander Brigadier MJ Manamela, addressed the learners in a critical session focused on safety and children’s rights.

Brigadier Manamela took a moment to commend the learners for their exemplary behaviour and discipline, reinforcing the importance of maintaining these values.

The learners were then given the chance to engage directly with the officers, asking insightful questions about the safety programmes at the school. Both the School Governing Body (SGB) and staff expressed deep appreciation for the valuable discussion and continued support from local law enforcement.
