Manhunt launched for Mozambican suspect after fatal stabbing in Boipatong

In Boipatong, a tragic incident unfolded on 20 August at around 17:30. The suspect, believed to be a Mozambican national, is accused of murdering a 34-year-old man during a heated argument over money while gambling.

The altercation escalated, leading to the suspect stabbing the victim in the upper left side of his body, causing him to collapse. The victim was swiftly rushed to Johan Hynes Hospital but was tragically declared dead upon arrival.

Boipatong police are now urgently seeking community assistance in locating the suspect, identified as Samual, who is currently on the run. Detectives are calling on anyone with information to contact the nearest police station or reach out directly to Boipatong SAPS on 016 930 2338, Detective Sergeant Motaung.

A murder investigation is underway as authorities intensify their search for the fugitive.
