Gauteng police bust counterfeit liquor operation in Soweto, suspect arrested

A joint operation by Gauteng Provincial Police, Commercial Crime Investigations, Soweto K9Unit, Brand Protectors, Gauteng Traffic and Provincial Crime Scene Management led to the seizure of counterfeit liquor and the arrest of a suspect.

The operation, conducted in Protea Glen, Soweto, on Saturday, 17 August, uncovered 958 counterfeit liquor items and packaging materials valued at approximately R120,000.

This successful operation highlights the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combating counterfeit and illicit activities within our communities.
