Empress Lily shines as guest presenter at Basadi In Music Award

On 1 August, Orange Farm’s reggae sensation, Empress Lily, showcased her presenting talents as a guest presenter at this year’s Basadi In Music Awards, an event dedicated to honouring women in the entertainment industry.

Last year, Empress Lily made history as the youngest recipient of the Best Reggae Artist of The Year award. Reflecting on the experience, she told Orange Farm News: “I was so happy, the feeling was overwhelming as last year’s youngest winner. I represented the 3rd ward as Best Reggae Artist of The Year. It was the best feeling ever, standing in front of a huge crowd that included celebrities. I’m still inspiring young people to always believe in themselves and never give up. Representing Orange Farm on big stages is an honour for me and I would love to see more artists from my area get nominated and win awards.”
