Vision 2025 FC wins Women’s Day Competition

On Women’s Day, 9 August, PLPDL Community Football League held a Women’s Day League Competition, featuring the U-13s in a top-four showdown, played in a home-and-away format. The four competing teams were Vision 2025 FC, Positive Living People FC, Stretford Young Tigers FC Team A and Stretford Young Tigers FC Team B.

Positive Living People FC dominated their match against Stretford Young Tigers FC Team B, winning 7-0 at home and 4-0 away, securing an 11-0 victory on aggregate. Meanwhile, Vision 2025 FC faced off against Stretford Young Tigers FC Team A, winning 1-0 at home and 3-1 away, giving them a 4-1 aggregate score.

In the final, Vision 2025 FC went head-to-head with Positive Living People FC. After a 1-1 draw in regular time, Vision 2025 FC clinched the title with a 4-3 win on penalties.

All this action unfolded at Hazulu Ground, Ext 9, Phase 1 on Women’s Day, Friday, 9 August. In honour of women everywhere, we look forward to the day we can host a competition featuring the women themselves.
