Department of Health, Stretford CHC and other stakeholders host inspiring Career Expo at Thetha Secondary

On Thursday, 11 July, Stretford CHC, in collaboration with various partners, hosted an AYFS Public Health Sector Career Expo at Thetha Secondary School in Drieziek 4.

Stretford CHC’s Health Promoter, Stephen Lehlala, emphasized that the event aimed to provide valuable information to learners, educating them about various careers in the health sector available through the Gauteng Department of Health.

The expo was a resounding success, with enthusiastic learners actively engaging with stakeholders and showing a keen interest in health careers.

The event highlighted the importance of informing learners about different career paths while they are still in secondary, helping them make informed decisions before moving on to tertiary education. This proactive approach addresses the common challenge of students struggling to choose the right career due to a lack of information.
