Meanwhile, at Hazulu Ground in Ext 9 Phase 1, Vision 2025 FC clashed with Stretford Young Tigers FC. Stretford Young Tigers FC won both U11 and U13 matches, 3-0 and 2-1, respectively.
However, Vision 2025 FC’s U15 team secured a 4-0 win, while the U17 team of Stretford Young Tigers FC bounced back to win 5-1. These matches concluded the first leg of the league. The league is now in an open-window period, allowing teams to conduct player transfers and negotiations. The transfer window will close with the reopening of schools and the second leg will commence that weekend following a meeting with club owners on Thursday.
“We extend our gratitude to the Orange Farm News consistent coverage during the first leg. Seeing themselves in the paper has been a great encouragement for the children, raising their hopes and spirits. We look forward to continuing this relationship into the second leg,” said PLPDL’s Mpe.
