Halala: FTASD secures 3rd place in Soweto’s Kasi to Kasi Tournament

Fortunate Talents Academic Sports Development (FTASD) proudly claimed third place in this year’s Kasi to Kasi Soccer Tournament, held in Naledi, Soweto.

The team celebrated their achievement by bringing home bronze medals and soccer balls, securing their spot for next year’s competition.

The second annual U11 Kasi to Kasi tournament, sponsored by the City of Johannesburg, took place on 8 June.

FTASD’ coach Bethuel Mtolo, told Orange Farm News: “In the first annual tournament, we placed third among the top 16 teams, and we achieved the same in this second annual event. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Zweli and his team for organizing a fantastic event. We are seeking sponsors or partners to assist us with transportation, soccer kits, boots and other training materials for our upcoming matches.”

“The team would greatly appreciate the support. Such tournaments outside of Orange Farm help players showcase their talents and increase their chances of being noticed by major teams. It is beneficial for soccer development,” he added.
