PLPDL Community Football League set to host thrilling Youth Day Tournament

PLPDL Community Football League is hosting a Youth Day Tournament from 15 to 17 June. The tournament will begin with U15 and U17 teams competing for the championship.

Matches will be held at Bhengu and Hazulu Grounds. The winners will take home trophies, medals, cash prizes and soccer kits. Residents are encouraged to attend in large numbers to support local players and watch them showcase their skills.

Last weekend, various matches took place with the following results:

At Drieziek 5, Kwa Bhengu Grounds: Stretford Young Tigers FC (Team B) won their U13 game against Drieziek Young Tigers FC with a score of 3-0. In the next games, 7/11 FC faced Drieziek Young Tigers FC. Drieziek Young Tigers FC won both the U15 and U17 matches with scores of 2-0 and 3-2, respectively.

At Phase 1 Ext 9, Hazulu Ground: Stretford Young Tigers FC (Team A) U11 and U13 lost to PLP FC with scores of 0-1 and 1-3, respectively. However, their U15 and U17 teams won against PLP FC with scores of 5-1 and 3-0, respectively. V2025 FC played against DMFA with the following results: U11 (0-3), U13 (0-0), U15 (1-2), and U17 (3-2).

“This is going to be an exciting tournament as we will be celebrating our youth. We invite community members to fill up the grounds and support the youth,” said PLPDL’s Mpe.
