A weekend packed with thrilling football action at PLPDL Community Football League
The PLPDL Community Football League showcased impressive skills and fierce competition over the weekend, all hosted at the Hazulu Ground, Phase 1.
Dona’s Mates FA displayed dominance by defeating Mighty Paradise FC U13 and U17 teams, with scores of 2-0 and 5-0, respectively.
In another intense match, V2025 FC clashed with 7/11 FC, with 7/11 FC emerging victorious in the U15 game with a score of 2-1, but falling short against V2025 FC U17 with a score of 2-1.
Stretford Young Tigers FC exhibited their prowess with Team A securing wins against Team B in the U11 and U13 divisions, with commanding scores of 5-0 and 8-0, respectively.
Looking ahead, PLPDL’s Mpe expressed optimism about the league’s potential, stating, “We are optimistic that we can run English Premier League here in Orange Farm. We need teams that are very understanding and are able to follow the laws of the game because we believe football needs no politics but teams that are compliant and competing week in week out. We need to run with 20 teams from Orange Farm, so we can show our communities how football league is run.”
Teams interested in joining the league were encouraged to register at PLPDL’s office located at Stretford Ext 8A next to Stretford Primary.
