Three suspects arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and live ammunition in Ext 3

On Saturday, 9 March, in the early hours of the morning, at about 02:00 am, the police were conducting their daily patrol routine around Ext 3 when they received information from a reliable source about suspects in possession of unlicensed firearms.

The police swiftly responded to the information. They spotted a suspicious motor vehicle, a white Toyota Corolla, which matched the description given by the source. When the suspects saw the police, they immediately fled and a chase ensued.

The police managed to apprehend the three suspects, and two unlicensed firearms and live ammunition were recovered.

The suspects will soon appear at the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and live ammunition.
