Outstanding achievers honoured at Rekgutlile Primary
Dedicated to fostering student success, Rekgutlile Primary recently hosted its annual awards ceremony on 7 December.
Thabang Tsotetsi from Timeline Radio served as the lively MC, entertaining attendees while proud parents witnessed their children’s accomplishments.
The school recognized top-performing students with trophies and medals, aiming to inspire and motivate them across all academic domains.
Awards coordinator, Mastela Libele, said: “This event marks the pinnacle of our academic year, celebrating our students and encouraging wholehearted engagement in studies.”
The award categories included trophies for Overall Performance, Top Grade 7 Performance in each subject, Best Library Attendees, Sports, Scholar Patrol and a special Principal, Sibongile Nyoka’ Award for an outstanding student excelling in all phases.
Medal categories featured gold medals for Overall Performance per Grade, silver medals for Most Improved Student per class and bronze medals for Most Neat and Well-Behaved Student.
Anna Molefe of Rekgutlile Primary expressed gratitude to Timeline Radio, Thabang Tsotetsi and station manager Mathapelo Makhubo for contributing to the success of the event. She also thanked parents, the School Governing Body (SGB), educators and school management for their essential roles in making the day possible.
