Duo arrested for selling counterfeit solar panels
On the 7 December, the Cormercial Crime Unit in collaboration with Crime Intelligence and Brand Protectors conducted a search and seizure operation at Crown Mines, Johannesburg Central.
During the operation, two people were separately arrested for selling counterfeit solar panels and they were also found with stickers for branding fake Chinise imports as Canadian made.
All items seized are estimated to the value of R250 000. The arrested suspects are expected to appear before Johannesburg Magistrates’ court soon on charges of selling counterfeit goods.
