Afrika Tikkun and SAPS hosted 16 Days of Activism Against GBVF

During the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based-Violence and Femicide, Orange Farms SAPS, in collaboration with Afrika Tikkun and various stakeholders, initiated an awereness campaign late last month.

The focus of the awareness drive was to combat the prevalent violence targeting women, children, and vulnerable individuals. A gathering took place at the Afrika Tikkun hall, where diverse stakeholders deliberated on addressing the pandemic of violence.

Representatives expressed their perspectives on putting an end to violence against women and children. Notably, the involvement of youth was encouraged to raise awareness and empower them against becoming victims or perpetrators of violence.

The message emphasized reporting all forms of abuse to the police station to ensure that perpetrators face legal consequences.
