Celebrating the legacy of Winnie Madikizela Mandela on her birthday
Winnie Madikizela Mandela’s birthday, originally on 26 September, was commemorated at the United Reformed Church on 28 September.
Her enduring legacy in the anti-apartheid struggle is honored, with numerous streets, places and buildings named after her.
The event, orchestrated by the Speakers Office of Ntombi Megwe from the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, brought together various dignitaries, including MPs Mandla Dlamini and Humphrey Mmemezi. RCO PCO’s Dipuo Goitsimodimo, PCO staff Pertunia Mkhohliswa and Puleng Sehanka, Cllr Makhosazana Ndlela, King Madikizela from the Mzilikazi community, as well as representatives from interfaith groups. Traditional Healers Practitioners, Zonal Leader Palestine, and other stakeholders.
