Swidi Wodwa Schools Soccer Tournament highlights the remarkable talent of kasi footballers

The Swidi Wodwa Schools Top-16 Tournament kicked off on 7 September across four venues: Piano Ground Drieziek 4, Exchange 7B, Sthende 6B and Mighty Green. Initially, each venue accommodated four schools.

“As we approached the last eight teams on 21 September, we narrowed it down to two venues, Exchange and Mighty Green, each hosting four schools. However, due to ball-related incidents in the Exchange area, we’ve decided to move the final four showdown to Sthende Ground 6B,” said the organisers.

Mark your calendars because the tournament’s grand finale will be on 28 September, at Ext1 Park City. The day promises excitement, starting with a preliminary game at 1 o’clock between Swidi Wodwa Masters and The Teachers, followed by the eagerly anticipated final at 3 o’clock.

Before the crowning moment, enjoy captivating performances from local artists and dancers during the closing ceremony. The driving force behind this event includes Muzi Tso Hadebe (Co-Founder and Marketing Director), Sandile Jemba Dlamini (Marketing Director), and Taki Lovemore Sithole (Chairman), with generous sponsorship from Timeline Radio, Vuyo’s Funerals, MFDN, MMK Metering Services, and Expert Capital Venture.

Finalists will receive two brand new jerseys, gold and silver medals, a trophy and a 3K prize for the tournament winners.
