Controversy surrounds Trevor Noah’s reported R33 million payment from Tourism SA

Trevor Noah, is poised to receive a substantial R33 million for a five-minute promotional advertisement showcasing South Africa on the global stage.

The comedian and former US TV host’s participation in this project has stirred controversy, as many South Africans on social media question whether such a sum could be better utilized for the country’s development.

However, Tourism Minister, Patricia de Lille, reassures the public that no state funds will be allocated to compensate the international star.
