This week, we’re crushing on Mahlatsi Ngobeni, the proprietor of MCN General Dealer (mapeding) which she started in 2005 to support her children after separating from their father who used to run the business with her.

“I decided it was time to grow and be an independent woman. I face a lot of challenges, it’s not easy operating in a male dominated field, some often look down on me as a woman instead of a competitor. Crime is also a big challenge, I render goods delivery services and sometimes my drivers are robbed or threatened. But, I soldier on,” said Ngobeni.
