Rise Mzansi tours Orange Farm

Interacting with Rise Mzansi during a public meeting and door to door listening session held in Orange Farm Ext 6 on Sunday, 25 June, residents highlighted that they are concerned with their safety amongst other issues.

Rise Mzansi’s Chief Organiser, Makashule Gana, told Orange Farm News: “Residents openly raised issues affecting them, these include, safety – people feel unsafe even in their homes; politicians who have stopped caring about the living conditions of Orange Farm residents and unemployment and drugs amongst others.”

Gana added: “As part of the solution, they suggested that we help with food garden projects in the area. Rise Mzansi will immediately assist these projects with seeds and work with the community to keep each other safe. We will also be taking the matter to the South African Police Services. We are very thankful to the community of Orange Farm for working with us.”
