Register teams for Ward 5 Cllr Ndzondo’s Winter Games

The second edition of Ward 5 Cllr Mxolisi Ndzondo and partners’ Winter Games will run from 24 June to 17 July at the Bhengu Sports Grounds in Drieziek 5. Netball and soccer clubs are invited to register their U13, U15 and U17 sides.

This tournament seeks to expose local talent while also keeping youths off the streets during the June school holidays.

Cllr Ndzondo said: “We are looking forward to the 2nd edition of this tournament. We urge teams to affiliate and bring their ‘A’ game to the field as we have invited scouts from upper divisions. We aim to groom future stars who will represent Orange Farm in big leagues and national sport. We invite community members to come in their numbers to support this tournament and witness local talent.”

On the day, there will also be a ladies soccer open.
