Setshaba Sotlhe National Business Forum hosts food testing event in Ext 7a
On Thursday, 05 May, catering businesses within the Setshaba Sotlhe National Business Forum held a food tasting event at Skhosana Church in Ext 7a.

The event aimed at publicising and marketing the catering businesses’ services in the community in order to attract new clients.
Setshaba Sotlhe National Business Forum’s president Bangile Mgcina told Orange Farm News: “There are individuals who continue to benefit from our business forum as we empower them on how to market their businesses to broader clients and also link them with the government. The forum’s executives host workshops where we invite different stakeholders that include the Gauteng Provincial Treasury and many more to train our Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprise (SMMEs) members on tenders and more.”
The forum’s general secretary, Grace Malange added: “You will find people fighting over jobs when one can start his/her own. Our forum is accommodative, we enhance all kinds of businesses from construction, tourism, agriculture and farming, NPOs, franchises, wholesalers and supermarkets, distribution, social security, transport and logistics, catering to manufacturing amongst others.”
Based in Ext 7a, Setshaba Sotlhe National Business Forum was established in 2009, it has 5 executives and 395 active members nationally. The forum is known for providing information and education on tendering, linking SMMEs, NPOs and cooperatives to relevant stakeholders that support and enhance their sectors, it also provides developmental programs to its members.
To become a member, one has to pay an annual affiliation fee of R500 and a monthly subscription fee of R200.
