Delicious creamy samp recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 800g quick cooking samp
  2. 2 litre(s) water
  3. 1 onion(s) , chopped
  4. 60 ml margarine or butter
  5. 5 ml Aromat
  6. 45 ml Cremora
  7. 230 g LANCEWOOD
  8. Smokey Onion & Mustard Cream Cheese
  9. 2 carrots , grated
  10. 45 ml fresh parsley , chopped

Method:

Step 1: Bring the samp and water to the boil. Once boiling, lower the heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until soft. Drain off excess liquid if necessary.

Step 2: Fry the onion in the butter until just soft.

Step 3: Add to the samp together with the Aromat, cremora, cream cheese and carrots. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

Step 4: Add the parsley and mix through and serve warm.

HINTS & TIPS:

1. Fry bacon pieces and mushrooms until crispy and scatter over before serving.

2. Add 250 ml peas (frozen or canned) and 100 g chopped ham. Sprinkle grated LANCEWOOD Cheddar or White Cheddar over.
